Drennan Double Strength 100m
Double Strength was the first monofilament line available in the UK that utilises Japanese hi-tech monofilament technology.
It’s been on the market for over a decade - a credential that speaks highly of the line, considering the number of different line types available - and it has references from top anglers from all disciplines.
Available in a wide range of breaking strains between 14oz and 12lb, this line comes on both 100m and 50m spools.
This line offers excellent strength to diameter ratios in a wide range of breaking strains.
This soft and supple, neutral tone line behaves and handles very well and offers good knot strength.
Double Strength can be used effectively across all the angling disciplines and is also ideal for use as a hooklength when surface fishing for carp.
It is also the perfect choice for most float and medium feeder situations, making this an incredibly versatile bit of kit.An angling classic that has done the rounds on the both the professional and the pleasure circuit, the Drennan Double Strength is one line that anglers keep coming back to time and time again.
With its low diameter, this line is powerful enough for casting distances yet soft and supple enough for playing fish when you need to.
If you’re looking for a line that won’t let you down when it really matters, you need the Double Strength.

ESP Syncro XT Loaded
The XT of Syncro literally stands for extra tough, indicating that this exceptional monofilament is highly abrasion resistant and durable.
Following its launch in 2011, the original ESP Syncro XT mono has grown to become one of the most widely used and well respected top end mainlines available.
And with very good reason, it ticks all the boxes regarding what's required from a top performing carp mono: unbeatable knot strength, optimum stretch, superb abrasion resistance without being wiry and this relative suppleness makes it a front-runner when it comes to distance casting.
Over the intervening period since the initial launch, we have carried on testing various different mono samples and have yet to find anything better than Syncro, which combined all the attributes required. However, during this testing process, we explored different colours having been asked by some of our sponsored anglers for a darker olive green.
So Syncro XT Loaded was born and the anglers that tested it for ESP have been completely sold on it.
Upon casting out it sinks through the surface film virtually unaided until it just hangs from the rod tips.
And if a slack line approach is required it stays that way, lying tight to the bottom to the extent that you can feel it peeling up off the lake bed when winding in.
The dark olive pigment disappears against any lake bed and is actually very difficult to see when suspended off the rod tips, even in tap clear water.
Regarding knot strength, just like the original Syncro XT, the new Loaded is underrated and the following knot strengths can be achieved using a carefully tied five turn grinner.
Although Syncro XT Loaded is limp straight off the spool we recommend soaking it overnight so that it absorbs water and becomes even suppler as it is loaded onto the reel spool.

Korda Touchdown 1000m Mainline
Touchdown main line obtained its name as a result of the increased amount of ‘feel’ that it gives you when your lead hits the bottom.
Knowing that you are fishing on an area where you can present a bait effectively, and being able to get a drop that you are happy with, are essential, and this is achieved by getting a good ‘drop’ when you feel your lead down to the bottom.
That has been achieved by reducing the amount of stretch in this monofilament main line, whilst still maintaining a high degree of abrasion resistance and good casting performance.
It also sinks very well and has a high knot strength, making it a great choice for use in any fishing situation. It comes in a choice of low visibility green or brown, so that it can be matched to the type lakebed and water colouration on the venues you are fishing.

Korda Subline 1000m Mono
This has been designed so that it is incredibly fast sinking and more akin to a fluorocarbon in that respect, but as it is a monofilament it still retains the attributes that can make it superior to a fluorocarbon in some angling situations.
Not only is it heavy but it is also very supple, which makes it great for slack line fishing as it will literally hang down limply from your rod tip and lay over the contours of whatever is between you and your hook bait.
In addition to that, it still casts incredibly well – far better than a fluorocarbon can – and is highly abrasion resistant, as well as having good knot strength.Key features

Gardner GT-HD Line
GT-HD is manufactured exclusively for Gardner Tackle with a unique high grade copolymer formula using cutting edge manufacturing processes to give the line reduced stretch and a crisp feel without compromising the other key characteristics.

By developing a main line that brings together all of these features ‘GT-HD’ sets a new benchmark in performance copolymer main lines.
And by manufacturing GT-HD in an awesome low-viz colour we’ve created a line that simply out-performs all other low stretch lines in every way.
