Carp Hooks
Korda Korda Wide Gape Hooks
Korda Wide Gape Hooks This is a really classic pattern of hook and the Wide Gape has accounted for a huge number of big carp captures over the many years since it was first launched. It is based on an old classic spade end hook pattern from the 1980s and 1990s which found favour with many anglers at the time – the Maruta Kinryu – but we have improved it and made it more user-friendly by switching the spade for an eye. The Wide Gape features a slightly in-turned eye, with a short shank, heavily forged bend, and very sharp, beaked point. It can be used with a wide variety of different pop-up and bottom bait presentations, and once it goes in it tends to stay in. Key features Classic hook pattern Short shank and in-turned eye Sharp, beaked point Very strong

Korda Korda Kurv Shank Hooks
Korda Kurv Shank Hooks The Kurv Shank is a very versatile hook and can be used with both pop-up and bottom bait rigs, including popular presentations such as the KD and IQ D-rig. It has great hooking properties thanks to an aggressively in-turned eye and curved shank, which helps it to flip round and take a hold inside the mouth, even when using it without Shrink Tube or a Kicker. Hooking potential is also aided by its long, needle sharp point. It also comes in a barbless version. Key features For both pop-up and bottom bait rigs Curved shank and in-turned eye Long, sharp point

Korda Korda Kamakura Wide Gape Hooks
Korda Kamakura Wide Gape Hooks The Kamakura sharpening process produces a hook point which is every bit as good as a hand-sharpened hook, but without you having to go to all the time and effort involved in doing it yourself. The Kamakura Wide Gape is a version of this classic pattern, but with a much sharper, finer point – it is likely that you will need to change your hook after every fish you catch, due to the points being so delicate. It features a slightly in-turned eye, with a short shank, heavily forged bend, and a beaked point. It can be used with a wide variety of different pop-up and bottom bait presentations, and once it goes in it tends to stay in. The points are protected by a blob of wax which needs to be carefully removed before use, and they come supplied in a box which holds each individual hook securely in place – you get ten hooks in each box.Key features Based on the original Wide Gape Incredibly sharp beaked point Point protected by wax Micro Barbed or barbless

Korda Korda Mixa Hooks
Korda Mixa Hooks This hook has been specifically designed for floater fishing, exhibiting great hooking potential as well as being as unobtrusive as possible when targeting wary carp. The Mixa has a very short shank and a wide gape, and can be used either with baits, such as cork balls, fished directly on the back of the shank, or with a hair rig. It is still a strong hook and has been used to land some very big carp, and the beaked point is razor sharp.Key features Designed for floater fishing Short shank and wide gape Strong and sharp

Korda Korda Krank Hooks
Korda Krank Hooks This pattern has been a huge seller since Tom Dove first came up with it back in 2014, and has accounted for countless big fish both at home and abroad, and even some monsters of other species well in excess of 100lb, in Thailand. The unique shape features a very wide gape, with quite a short, curved shank into a slightly in-turned eye – the in-turned effect is accentuated by the shape of the shank and the way it sweeps round to the eye. The point, which is slightly beaked, is offset and this shape helps it to ‘Krank’ its way in once it takes an initial hold. These hooks are very strong, and feature a micro barb which won’t hinder penetration, but once in, will ensure that the hook stays in place. A barbless version is also available. The Krank can be used with a wide variety of different rigs and is incredibly effective even with a simple knotless knot, or it can be used on more complicated set-ups, such as the Spinner Rig which Tom Dove favours himself. There is also a stepped-up heavy duty Krank X version, which is designed for use in very weedy or snaggy conditions, or when fishing more extreme continental waters. Key features Can be used with a variety of rigs Short curved shank Beaked point Strong and sharp

Korda Korda Choddy Hooks
Korda Choddy Hooks This hook has been specifically designed for use with stiff hook links and rig presentations such as the chod rig or hinged stiff rig, but it can also be used with other pop-up presentations as well. I t has an out-turned eye, to help give a continuous curve from the hook link to the hook when using stiff presentations, and the rest of its shape is based upon the iconic Wide Gape pattern, albeit in a slightly thicker wire. It is an incredibly strong hook, as Darrell Peck will attest to, having caught carp to over 70lb on the size 8 version. The slightly curved point is very sharp, and the barb is of a size that doesn’t hinder penetration, but once in, helps the hook stay securely in place.Key features Perfect for chod and hinged stiff rigs Out-turned eye Very strong Curved, sharp point Micro Barbed or barbless versions

OMC OMC Lock Hooks
OMC Lock Hooks Available in MICRO BARBED & BARBLESS The OMC LOCK Hook! A Dream Hook! A project of passion to innovate what we felt IS the perfect hook for so many situations! Coupled with a love for fish care and underwater physics THE LOCK is a true example of where fine adjustments are made to create maximum positive impact on your fishing. Creating more aggressive hooking mechanics whilst limiting movement when the hook is in place due to its unique design! It’s like no other carp hook we’ve ever used. The Lock has been agonisingly designed from scratch. First with a pencil, love and some white paper before reaching CAD design, sample stage, then repeat, repeat, repeat until we reached for some months the now landmark version of what you see today as THE LOCK! A true hallmark of our already fantastic OMC Hook Range. The relationship between each part of this hook is critical! The way every detailed millimetre talks to the other parts to ensure the performance journey of the hook is consistent. The Inturned eye leading to the curve shank often relates to hooks being more aggressive but possibly moving a little too much during battle…NOT WITH THE LOCK! You get the dynamics of a curve shank, but when coupled with an exaggerated large gape, subtle beaked and outrageously fine needle sharp hook point, you have everything to sting the fish instantly, but when you’ve LOCKED ON, the final piece of the jigsaw is the “Flat base” of the hook leading to the “apex corner” which is the junction between shank and bend creating the nucleus of why this hook is so god damn brilliant! A variety of rigs can be deployed with this design, so when that beaked point drives in - the intricate pattern means the physics are focused on taking that super sharp point with speed to the apex corner to LOCK and not move! An outrageously brilliant Spinner Rig Hook It helps make History as a German Rig on The Grand Fishing Adventure when Zamo lands the biggest ever carp to date caught in front of an Underwater camera. It helped me tame many Siamese carp over 100lb in Thailand with just a simple Knotless Knot Bloodliner Aligner Rig! The permutations are endless - and the results are insane when you get that rig right for the presentation. Ali Hamidi added… “I’ve been shocked to not yet lose a single carp on this final design during our extensive testing. 50+ carp all nailed in a range of wild situations. From Thailand to UK, France & Spain! But never mind me, the feedback from anglers who have been lucky enough to use this hook have said the same…” “Unbelievable some of the greatest hookholds I’ve ever seen” “The greatest Spinner Rig Hook I’ve ever used” Not only will this Hook pattern help you convert more bites into fish on the bank, but you’ll also noticeably see the calibre of your hookholds has improved consistently. If you’ve had bad experiences with any hooks or are looking for a pattern that has pushed hook physics to another level then we have LOCKED EYES at the right time! ESP Cryogen Claw Hammer Hooks Claw-Hammers have a sweeping beaked point ideal for fishing over gravel and for assured hook holds in thick weed. Perfect when used with bottom bait combi / flipper type rigs. With longer, finer points this wide gape pattern accounted for a lot of big carp over 12 months of field testing!
