  • Korda Spinner Hooks 4

    Korda Korda Spinner Hooks

Korda Spinner Hooks Our newest hook pattern designed purposely for use with the Spinner Rig.  The 55-degree eye angle follows the direction of a kicker which enables the hook to sit perfectly when used with a buoyant hook bait. Furthermore, the long, curved shank opens the gape of the hook when mounted on a Spinner Swivel offering the very best hooking potential. Coupled with a super sharp, straight hook point, these hooks raise the bar even further when using the already deadly Spinner Rig. The hooks have a durable PTFE coating and are available in sizes 4, 6, 8, barbed and barbless. Supplied in packs of 10.  Purposely for use with the Spinner Rig Super sharp, straight hook point PTFE coated Intermediate sizes available

  • Korda Klor Hook

    Korda Korda Klor Hook

Korda Klor Hook The Klor hook pattern was designed and created by Danny Fairbrass to be an aggressive, strong, fast turning hook with brilliant hooking potential with a variety of rigs. It is incredibly strong and proven to be able to withstand fishing for big carp in extreme conditions, both at home and abroad. The Klor has a very aggressive shape (even more so than our Kurv Shank hook), with the point in line with the eye, and this encourages it to turn quickly and take hold in the mouth of a carp. It is suitable for use with all manner of rigs, including the Combi Rig and Spinner Rig presentations, and with bottom baits, pop-ups and wafters. The point is long, ultra-sharp and slightly in-turned which makes it far less likely to be damaged by nuisance species, such as crayfish and small fish, moving it around on the bottom, especially when fishing over gravel. The wire is a heavy gauge, and this results in a very strong hook which can be used in weedy or snaggy conditions, even when using braid, without fear of it bending out. During testing Danny landed carp to over 60lb from wild, French waters that were full of snags. Despite the thickness of the wire, the point remains very sharp and the whisker barb, once the hook goes in, will ensure it stays in place. Key features Aggressive, strong, fast turning

  • OMC Lock Hooks

    OMC OMC Lock Hooks

OMC Lock Hooks Available in MICRO BARBED & BARBLESS  The OMC LOCK Hook! A Dream Hook! A project of passion to innovate what we felt IS the perfect hook for so many situations! Coupled with a love for fish care and underwater physics THE LOCK is a true example of where fine adjustments are made to create maximum positive impact on your fishing. Creating more aggressive hooking mechanics whilst limiting movement when the hook is in place due to its unique design! It’s like no other carp hook we’ve ever used. The Lock has been agonisingly designed from scratch. First with a pencil, love and some white paper before reaching CAD design, sample stage, then repeat, repeat, repeat until we reached for some months the now landmark version of what you see today as THE LOCK! A true hallmark of our already fantastic OMC Hook Range. The relationship between each part of this hook is critical! The way every detailed millimetre talks to the other parts to ensure the performance journey of the hook is consistent.  The Inturned eye leading to the curve shank often relates to hooks being more aggressive but possibly moving a little too much during battle…NOT WITH THE LOCK! You get the dynamics of a curve shank, but when coupled with an exaggerated large gape, subtle beaked and outrageously fine needle sharp hook point, you have everything to sting the fish instantly, but when you’ve LOCKED ON, the final piece of the jigsaw is the “Flat base” of the hook leading to the “apex corner” which is the junction between shank and bend creating the nucleus of why this hook is so god damn brilliant!  A variety of rigs can be deployed with this design, so when that beaked point drives in - the intricate pattern means the physics are focused on taking that super sharp point with speed to the apex corner to LOCK and not move! An outrageously brilliant Spinner Rig Hook It helps make History as a German Rig on The Grand Fishing Adventure when Zamo lands the biggest ever carp to date caught in front of an Underwater camera.  It helped me tame many Siamese carp over 100lb in Thailand with just a simple Knotless Knot Bloodliner Aligner Rig!  The permutations are endless - and the results are insane when you get that rig right for the presentation.  Ali Hamidi added… “I’ve been shocked to not yet lose a single carp on this final design during our extensive testing. 50+ carp all nailed in a range of wild situations. From Thailand to UK, France & Spain! But never mind me, the feedback from anglers who have been lucky enough to use this hook have said the same…” “Unbelievable some of the greatest hookholds I’ve ever seen” “The greatest Spinner Rig Hook I’ve ever used” Not only will this Hook pattern help you convert more bites into fish on the bank, but you’ll also noticeably see the calibre of your hookholds has improved consistently.  If you’ve had bad experiences with any hooks or are looking for a pattern that has pushed hook physics to another level then we have LOCKED EYES at the right time!  Available in: MICRO BARBED sizes 4,6,8 BARBLESS sizes 4,6,8 The OMC LOCK Hook!

  • Korda Kamakura Choddy Hooks

    Korda Korda Kamakura Choddy Hooks

Korda Kamakura Choddy Hooks  The Kamakura sharpening process produces a hook point which is every bit as good as a hand-sharpened hook, but without you having to go to all the time and effort involved in doing it yourself.  The Kamakura Choddy hook has been specifically designed for use with stiff hook links and rig presentations such as the chod rig or hinged stiff rig, but it can also be used with other pop-up presentations as well. It has an out-turned eye, to help give a continuous curve from the hook link to the hook when using stiff presentations, and the rest of its shape is based upon the iconic Wide Gape pattern, albeit in a slightly thicker wire. It is an incredibly strong hook, with a slightly curved point, and the barb is of a size that doesn’t hinder penetration, but once in, helps the hook stay securely in place.  The points are protected by a blob of wax which needs to be carefully removed before use, and they come supplied in a box which holds each individual hook securely in place – you get ten hooks in each box.Key features Based on the ortiginal Choddy pattern Incredibly sharp and fine point Point protected by wax Micro Barbed or barbless

  • ESP Cryogen Curve Shanx Hooks Barbless

Drennan ESP Cryogen Curve Shanx Hooks

ESP Cryogen Curve Shanx Hooks These Curves are now around 25% stronger than their predecessors while still retaining long fine needle sharp points which are now extra durable. These are highly effective in a whole variety of rig presentations (perfect for the Ronnie Rig) and their quick turning, anti-eject shape combined with a needle sharp point ensures exceptional hook holds. The initial launch of ESP Cryogen hooks in March 2016 caused a massive stir with discerning anglers quickly recognising the distinct technical advantages they offered. They were the result of over three years of development and field testing which culminated in a new standard in strength and point durability. New manufacturing techniques including both high temperature and cryogenic tempering have produced significantly stronger hooks with more durable, long life points. Cryogenic tempering is a process used to improve the molecular structure in steel which in turn reduces stress and improves strength and wear resistance. It is used in many disciplines with Formula 1 engine parts being a classic example. Bench tests on initial samples proved to us that the new tempering processes combined with improved designs and heavy forging resulted in hooks that were 25-30% stronger than other PTFE coated carp hooks in the same wire gauge. We subsequently sent the hooks for independent scientific testing on hardness and tensile strength and the tests carried out confirmed and supported our initial findings. So rather than having to improve strength by simply increasing wire gauge, new manufacturing processes have allowed us to maintain optimum wire gauges for each size which allow for fine, ultra-sharp needle points which are now more durable than ever. ESP is now delighted to introduce three new patterns into the Cryogen range, with each type having been developed, tested and 'tweaked' over the last 18 months. They have proved outstanding in field testing and provide an even greater choice in high-performance, long-lasting carp hooks. Features: Three years of development Cryogenically tempered Incredibly strong Durable ultra sharp needle points Long straight points Tufflon coated Barbless and Micro Barbed

  • Korda Long Shank X Hooks

Korda Korda Long Shank X Hooks

Korda Long Shank X Hooks This hook was based on the popular, original fly hook patterns, which found favour with carp anglers due to their shape and hooking ability – but this is a much stronger and sharper version of that pattern. This pattern is one of the original styles of hook in carp fishing, but is still just as effective today with modern rigs, thanks to a 20 degree in-turned eye, long shank and straight point, which ensures that it flips over and takes a hold very easily, ensuring consistently good hookholds. The Longshank X is also very strong and can stand up to being used on snaggy and weedy waters, thanks to the forging on the bend and the gauge of wire used. Key features Long shank and inturned eye Straight, sharp point Great for snaggy or weedy waters

  • Korda Kamakura Wide Gape X Hooks

Korda Korda Kamakura Wide Gape X Hooks

    18 in stock

Korda Kamakura Wide Gape X Hooks The Kamakura sharpening process produces a hook point which is every bit as good as a hand-sharpened hook, but without you having to spend all the time and effort involved in doing it yourself – you can be confident that these hooks are perfect every time, straight out of the box. The Kamakura Wide Gape X is a stepped-up version of this classic pattern, with thicker gauge wire, but featuring a much sharper, finer point than the standard ‘X’ hook – it is likely that you will need to change your hook after every fish you catch, due to the points being so delicate. It features a slightly in-turned eye, with a short shank, heavily forged bend, and a beaked point. It can be used with a wide variety of different pop-up and bottom bait presentations, and once it goes in it tends to stay in. The points are protected by a blob of wax which needs to be carefully removed before use, and they come supplied in a box which holds each individual hook securely in place – you get ten hooks in each box. Key features Based on the original Wide Gape Incredibly sharp beaked point Point protected by wax Micro Barbed only

  • Gardner Covert Dark Mugga Hooks

Gardner Tackle Gardner Covert Dark Mugga Hooks

Gardner Covert Dark Mugga Hooks The legendary Mugga hook pattern has been pivotal in the capture of countless big carp. The latest Covert Dark Mugga hooks have been given a facelift with several key improvements that make them even better! Firstly, we have totally re-specified the shape and length of the Mugga’s point so they are longer and much sharper than before. The new long tapered points are a massive step up and ensure the hook pricks and penetrates even quicker. Next, we have swapped over to the new stripped down Covert Dark plating. This new finish still offers excellent camouflage thanks to the matt finish, and also ensures that we keep the sharpest possible point on the hook as it is a single electroplated finish and the reduction in handling during the finishing process means the points remain immaculate and razor sharp. We’ve also upgraded to a micro barb on all the new Covert Dark Hooks. This offers two major benefits. Firstly, many commercial fisheries require anglers to use patterns with small barbs as it is kinder to the fish’s mouth, and secondly micro barbed hooks are stronger as less wire is cut out to form the barb. This combined with the longer chemically etched point has made the Covert Dark Mugga a truly awesome hook. If you look at the design of the Mugga it’s not hard to see why it offers unrivalled hooking potential when used with a variety of hooklink materials. The aggressive hooking action and strong hook holds that the pattern gives are due to a combination of key features working perfectly together. The combination of a sweeping, slightly curve shank and a 25° in-turned eye cause the hook to flip as soon as the hooklink tightens or the hook eye reaches the edge of fish’s lip. This unique action means that the hook will take hold firmly in the corner of the mouth or in the bottom lip without having to add shrink tube to improve a less effective ‘similar’ pattern. After this the orientation between the hook eye and the super sharp straight point creates the best possible angle to aid the hook penetrating quickly and securely. Simply, this means you will land more fish. Covert Dark Mugga hooks are constructed using a forged, high carbon wire that has been double tempered to ensure they are amazingly strong relative to the wire gauge.*Heavier gauge ‘Continental Mugga’ hooks are available for anglers that need the strongest possible Mugga hooks. Gardner Covert Dark Mugga hooks feature: COVERT DARK matt finish. Longer, sharper chemically etched straight point. Short curved shank and 25˚ in-turned. Manufactured from forged, double tempered, high carbon steel wire for strength. Barbed or Barbless. Supplied as 10 hooks per packet.
