TA Curve Shank hooks are ideal for all manner of big fish rig applications.
The pattern is ideal for use with almost any presentation; ranging from the ‘bog standard’ knotless knotted hair and blow back rig, through to KD rigs, Slip-D’s, 360’s and the hugely popular ‘Ronnie’ rig. This is simply an amazingly versatile hook pattern.
Curve Shank hooks have a needle sharp, long tapered, durable point and are manufactured from forged and double tempered super-strong, extra-heavy gauge steel wire that is essential to ensure the reliability in curved shank hook patterns.
This exacting manufacturing process optimizes the strength of the high carbon wire and this means that the hooks offer amazing strength in relation to the wire gauge used in their construction.
The combination of an in-turned eye, curve shank and needle-sharp straight point is naturally an extremely positive hooking design that turns very aggressively.
By coating the pattern in our super-slippery PTFE coating, and the combination of a positive angle of drawer ensures the pattern reacts aggressively and then takes a secure hold as the hook fully penetrates quickly.
These Curve Shank hooks have undergone rigorous and extensive testing across a wide range of demanding big carp scenarios by our team prior to their general release and the results have been epic.

ESP Balance Beads
Designed as a very convenient alternative to tungsten putty, they provide a secure fit over the swivel knot or trapped on a short loop.
Perfect as a counterbalance on Ronnie rig booms and on the hook section of a hinge rig.
The beads need to be pierced with a splicing needle or fine bait needle then threaded onto the link and pushed over the swivel or loop knot.
Containing 75% tungsten, the Small weighs 0.3g, perfect for 12mm pop ups combined with a size 6 Ronnie. The Large weighs 0.6g for 14 – 16mm pop ups on a size 4.
Different combinations can achieve critically balanced or over-weighted presentations and the beads can also be trimmed for precision balancing.
Unlike tungsten putty, these beads are crayfish proof and provide a consistent and easily repeatable alternative to putty.

Korda Wide Gape XX Hooks Micro Barbed
This is a really classic pattern of hook and the Wide Gape has accounted for a huge number of big carp captures over the many years since it was first launched.
It is based on an old classic spade end hook pattern from the 1980s and 1990s which found favour with many anglers at the time – the Maruta Kinryu – but we have improved it and made it more user-friendly by switching the spade for an eye.
The Wide Gape features a slightly in-turned eye, with a short shank, heavily forged bend, and very sharp, beaked point.
It can be used with a wide variety of different pop-up and bottom bait presentations, and once it goes in it tends to stay in.
For those fishing in snaggy conditions in the UK or for overseas fishing there is also a Wide Gape X version.

Traditional PVA string which is ideal for adding stringers to your rigs.
It is very strong, so will take the impact of a hard cast, and as long as you leave a gap between your baits, it will melt quickly once in the water.
We recommend that you double-up the string when you thread your baits on, thus leaving a loop at one end, which can be put over your hook and then secured to the bend by pushing the top bait up – this does away with the need for any knots, which don’t dissolve as well.
It can also be useful for tying the necks of Solidz PVA bags. Comes on a 15m spool.
