Our Edges range of terminal tackle has taken the carping world by storm over the past three years with anglers across the globe appreciating that we had taken rig component design to a whole new level.
There was of course one item of terminal tackle that our product development team hadn’t given the Edges treatment too, and that quite simply is because it has taken them many years to design, develop and test this range.
We haven’t simply picked up a hook manufacturers catalogue and picked a few patterns off the shelf, oh no, we have drawn up the patterns from scratch using the latest CAD software packages to ensure that every single detail in every single pattern is exactly how they need to be for the modern carp angler.
The end result is an Edges Arma Point hook range that features eight patterns, and that are in our opinion and that of our angling consultants, the strongest and sharpest out of the packet hooks you will find on the market.

Korda Krank X Hooks
This pattern has been a huge seller since Tom Dove first came up with it back in 2014, and has accounted for countless big fish both at home and abroad, and even some monsters of other species well in excess of 100lb, in Thailand.
The unique shape features a very wide gape, with quite a short, curved shank into a slightly in-turned eye – the in-turned effect is accentuated by the shape of the shank and the way it sweeps round to the eye.
The point, which is slightly beaked, is offset and this shape helps it to ‘Krank’ its way in once it takes an initial hold.
These hooks are very strong, and feature a micro barb which won’t hinder penetration, but once in, will ensure that the hook stays in place.
A barbless version is also available.
The Krank can be used with a wide variety of different rigs and is incredibly effective even with a simple knotless knot, or it can be used on more complicated set-ups, such as the Spinner Rig which Tom Dove favours himself.

Korda Lead Clip Action Pack
A pack that has all the components to help you construct safe Lead Clip systems, which are essential when fishing on weedy or snaggy waters.
The basic rule of the Lead Clip system is that the lead must eject before the swivel pulls out of the nose of the clip.
If the swivel comes out first, the lead will never eject. Instead, the line will pull back and forth through the system like a running rig, leaving the lead snagged - and the fish too! Use the system correctly and the lead will eject when you want it to.
One thing that's for certain is that when the lead comes off the carp rises to the surface, allowing you to lead it over any underwater obstacles, rather than having to drag it through them.

Gardner Covert Dark Mugga Hooks
The legendary Mugga hook pattern has been pivotal in the capture of countless big carp. The latest Covert Dark Mugga hooks have been given a facelift with several key improvements that make them even better!
Firstly, we have totally re-specified the shape and length of the Mugga’s point so they are longer and much sharper than before. The new long tapered points are a massive step up and ensure the hook pricks and penetrates even quicker.
Next, we have swapped over to the new stripped down Covert Dark plating.
This new finish still offers excellent camouflage thanks to the matt finish, and also ensures that we keep the sharpest possible point on the hook as it is a single electroplated finish and the reduction in handling during the finishing process means the points remain immaculate and razor sharp.
We’ve also upgraded to a micro barb on all the new Covert Dark Hooks. This offers two major benefits.
Firstly, many commercial fisheries require anglers to use patterns with small barbs as it is kinder to the fish’s mouth, and secondly micro barbed hooks are stronger as less wire is cut out to form the barb.
This combined with the longer chemically etched point has made the Covert Dark Mugga a truly awesome hook.
If you look at the design of the Mugga it’s not hard to see why it offers unrivalled hooking potential when used with a variety of hooklink materials.
The aggressive hooking action and strong hook holds that the pattern gives are due to a combination of key features working perfectly together.
The combination of a sweeping, slightly curve shank and a 25° in-turned eye cause the hook to flip as soon as the hooklink tightens or the hook eye reaches the edge of fish’s lip.
This unique action means that the hook will take hold firmly in the corner of the mouth or in the bottom lip without having to add shrink tube to improve a less effective ‘similar’ pattern.
After this the orientation between the hook eye and the super sharp straight point creates the best possible angle to aid the hook penetrating quickly and securely. Simply, this means you will land more fish.
Covert Dark Mugga hooks are constructed using a forged, high carbon wire that has been double tempered to ensure they are amazingly strong relative to the wire gauge.*Heavier gauge ‘Continental Mugga’ hooks are available for anglers that need the strongest possible Mugga hooks.

ESP Buoyant Sweetcorn
Ideal for carp, tench and big bream, different sizes can be used alone or combined with natural corn to counterbalance the weight of the hook or create the perfect pop up.
The Buoyant Sweetcorn has a very generous 16 grains in the packet (6 large, 6 medium, 2 small and 2 mini) plus two strips of complimentary mini yellow hairstops.
An innovative feature is the hair stop recess on selected grains which accepts the mini hair stop.
Some of the grains have the recess on the end whilst others have the recess on the side to suit various presentations.
This recess makes the hair stop sit almost flush with the surface of the corn which not only looks very neat but is also a real help when fishing waters where crayfish are present, it makes it much more difficult for them to steal the bait!
There are also grains with no hair stop recess at all.
Buoyant Sweetcorn is perfect for a wide variety of presentations from balancing or tipping boilies or nuts, to creating the perfect pop up.
The larger sizes are also ideal for zig rigs.
The vibrant ‘nature identical’ yellow colour provides excellent visual attraction whilst the creamy sweetcorn flavour impregnated during the moulding process offers an attractive scent.

Korda Spinner Rig Kurv
Most anglers will have heard of the spinner rig as it has been featured prominently on many of our videos and is a favourite of a lot of our sponsored anglers, but if you don’t have the time or confidence to tie your own, then this ready-tied version is the perfect solution.
It is constructed in exactly the same way as any of our top anglers would do it, and features a 5.5 inch Boom hook link with a Kurv Shank hook attached via one of our Spinner Swivels which has been crimped on to provide a very strong connection.
At the other end is a crimped loop which can be attached to any of our quick change style systems.
The rig can be used multiple times simply by changing the hook, which is very easy to do.
There is a choice of size 4 or 6 hooks, in barbed or barbless, and each packet contains one rig.
