An extra-wide gape definitely helps hook more fish, especially as baits tend to sit down nicely in the flat, slightly square shaped bend.

Drennan Pellet Band Stretcher
The Pellet Band Stretcher is an extremely useful gadget that helps to make the process of baiting up with baits such as hard pellets and dumbell boilies easier.
To use, simply insert the four pointed prongs inside a latex band and press the spring-loaded plunger mechanism to open them up.
The prongs will then stretch the latex band wide enough for you to insert the hook bait inside.
Depress the plunger and the band will contract and securely grip the hook bait.
It makes the fiddly process of using ‘banded pellets’ much easier and works particularly well with Drennan Bait Bands and Latex Pellet Bands.

Korda Flying Backlead
These are an updated version of our original Safe Zone Flying Back Leads and have been redesigned so that they can be used with either mono or braid.
The Flying Back leads are designed so that they come back up your main line during the cast and help to pin as much line as possible to the lake bed.
A clever slotted insert allows them to be removed from your line simply by twisting it until it aligns with the slot on the backlead, so it is easy to switch between different sizes as required.
This slotted design doesn’t work well with braid though and it can easily get trapped in the slot, so they also come supplied with a special insert specifically for use with braided lines.
A small rubber bead is used as a buffer when the Flying Back Lead is sat above your leader knot (assuming that you are using a Dark Matter or Kable leader) prior to the cast.
They come in two different sizes – small (3g) or medium (5) – and the weight is etched into each backlead.
They have a brown camouflage coating. Each packet contains five back leads complete with inserts; five braid inserts; and five rubber beads.Key features

These ready-tied Kable leadcore leaders are as good as anything that you can construct yourself, and save you the time, effort, and any element of doubt that you’ve done it correctly.
Each 1m long leader is constructed from our incredibly tough and fast-sinking Kable leadcore, with a Hybrid Lead Clip QC spliced to one end of it and a spliced loop at the other end so that it can quickly be attached and detached from your main line as required.
Simply attach the leader to your main line, your hook link to the other end – as long as it has a loop at the end of it then it is easy to attach it to the QC Swivel - put a lead on, and you’re ready to cast out!Key features

The Combi-Multi Kickers have been designed in conjunction with Darrell Peck. These rubber kickers are an essential part of his well-documented Combi Multi Rig.
Suitable for use with the Wide Gape pattern of hook, these kickers not only extend the shank of the hook, but they also hold the braided, quick-change section of the Combi Multi Rig in place. To change your hook, simply slide back the kicker to release the loop. Once a fresh hook is in place, slide the kicker back over the eye to lock your hookbait in the desired position.
Like Darrell, if you prefer to use the ‘line aligner’ technique, simply use a baiting needle to pierce the soft rubber and pull through the braided section.
The Combi-Multi Kickers come in green and brown and available in medium and large to cover the most popular hook sizes.

ESP Balance Beads
Designed as a very convenient alternative to tungsten putty, they provide a secure fit over the swivel knot or trapped on a short loop.
Perfect as a counterbalance on Ronnie rig booms and on the hook section of a hinge rig.
The beads need to be pierced with a splicing needle or fine bait needle then threaded onto the link and pushed over the swivel or loop knot.
Containing 75% tungsten, the Small weighs 0.3g, perfect for 12mm pop ups combined with a size 6 Ronnie. The Large weighs 0.6g for 14 – 16mm pop ups on a size 4.
Different combinations can achieve critically balanced or over-weighted presentations and the beads can also be trimmed for precision balancing.
Unlike tungsten putty, these beads are crayfish proof and provide a consistent and easily repeatable alternative to putty.
