Korda Leader Safe The Leader Safe is a compact way of storing your pre-tied leadcore and Dark Matter leaders, in a way that avoids them becoming damaged or tangled when not in use. Two different sizes are available – small will hold three leaders, and large can be used to store six leaders – and the leaders are stored on the hard plastic insert which has been designed with slots to hold Hybrid Lead Clips, Heli-Safe Stems, or swivels (depending on what you have attached to the end of the leader), securely in place when not in use, with the rest of the leader wound around the Leader Safe in the corresponding channel. Korda Big Eye Swivels These swivels have one very large round eye and one normal size one and, as with all our swivels, they come from the best Japanese manufacturers and have our trademark 'anti glint' dull-grey finish. They have three major uses. Firstly, they make very smooth running rigs when used as a replacement to the swivels found on the top of our leads. They were originally designed as part of the Running Rig Kits. But, after too many enquiries to mention, we had to add them to the range. The second obvious use is for helicopter rigs. The large eye will rotate better if a large bead is used, whereas a smaller swivel would bump around the larger beads circumference. In other words, the large eye will slide effortlessly around it. They can also be used at the top of a link for the marker float - the large eye will allow the line to pull through that bit easier than a standard swivel. Korda SLR Marker Float There is nothing more frustrating than spending time finding a nice spot at longer range, and then when you finally do locate one, the marker float won’t come up to the surface! The SLR Marker Float reduces the chance of that happening as it is incredibly buoyant, and rather than plastic is made from the highest quality balsa wood, so as long as your line can run through the lead – we recommend that it is used with a Marker Stem for the best results – then it will come flying up to the surface every time. Once it does hit the surface it is very easy to spot due to the high visibility, bright orange flight on the top of it.
