The flexible silicone tube is mounted onto a soft sleeve which houses the lead retaining clip and provides a neat, streamlined system.
You might wonder why this component is comprised of two parts, rather than being moulded as one piece.
Well, the thermoplastic rubber used to mould the clip link retaining sleeve is malleable yet tough and is perfect for sleeving the clip link yet does not have the soft flexibility and inherent ‘spring’ of good old silicone tube so ESP have combined the two materials to create the perfect shock absorber buffer sleeve for chod rig work.
The silicone tube can be shortened if required, as can the clip retaining sleeve if the leader is tied directly to the lead loop.Features:

The Camo Drop Heli Buffer Bead Kit is designed to allow you to set up a helicopter or chod style rig. Will work on leaders and mainline and can be used without the tapered insert for use on lead-free or leadcore leaders. Add the tapered insert for a Naked setup.

Main line or leader attaches to the fixed wire loop of the main bead, the separate buffer section then attaches to the top of this bead to cover and protect your knot
The main body holds all makes of Fox swivel lead in position via a friction fit.
The swivel of your lead can be fixed in place by the supplied T-peg or a with an Edges PVA Strip if you require the lead to eject
Friction fit is enough to reel in with lead still on if you have used the PVA Strips but will eject the lead should it come into contact with weed or snags

Fox Camo Ronnie Sleeves
Fox Edges Ronnie Sleeves provide an easy way of securing the swivel to the eye of the hook on Ronnie/Spinner rig presentations.
They are designed to thread over the point of the hook and up the shank and then slide neatly over the eye and Kwik Change Hook Swivel to hold securely in place.
The tapered point ensures the set up is neat and the sleeve can be reused, allowing for quick hook changes with no need for shrink tubing.
The sleeve can be used to lock the swivel in place for a traditional style Ronnie rig or can be trimmed to leave the eye of the Kwik Change Hook Swivel exposed to increase movement.

If your line parts whilst using the Inline Safety Sleeves, the lead can easily slide off the sleeve and over any shockleader knot you may be incorporating.
The sleeve loosely sits inside the lead and only locks into place when the Korda size 8 swivel is inserted. Following any breakages, when pressure is applied to the lead it will release the swivel and the lead will easily fall free.
This version has been specifically designed to be used with Nano Tubing and Leadcore. Nano Tubing is more slimline than standard tubing, so not all tubing will be compatible. The sleeves have a streamlined design and a slimline inner core to ensure a tight fit, which eliminates the need for a tail rubber and again greatly improving the fish safety aspect.

Ejector Lead Clips can be fixed securely to the swivel by means of the locking peg. This prevents them from riding up the line or leader and ensures the lead will always eject first.
Due to the spring-like properties of the lead retaining arm, the lead will often eject as soon as a carp bolts.
This usually results in the carp rising up in the water, making it relatively easy to play the fish above weed beds and other obstacles.
These clips are ideal when targeting single big carp where early release of the lead can be a distinct advantage.
They are not ideal for distance casting with PVA Bags where the lead might disengage on impact, or for weed free 'runs waters' where multiple carp or tench are caught as this can result in too many leads being lost.
