Korda Basix Weigh Sling The BASIX Weigh Sling (along with the Basix Cradle) is perfect for youngsters; anglers new to the sport; those on a limited budget; occasional anglers; and anyone who simply doesn’t want to spend a lot of money, to ensure fish safely is prioritised but not compromised. NOTE: The BASIX Weigh Sling MUST NOT be used as a retainer. This is a traditional weigh sling, but with some additional features, which has been designed to allow you to safely transfer fish from the water to your unhooking mat, and vice versa, and to weigh them – it isn’t a retainer and can’t be safely used for that purpose. This weigh sling is constructed from a durable nylon material and is long and deep enough to weigh any carp that you are likely to catch in the UK, and is also suitable for use overseas on many venues. It features strong, lightweight powder-coated two-piece metal bars at the top, to give rigidity and to help make the weighing process safer for the fish. When not in use these bars can easily be split in the middle – they are elasticated - and the sling folded back into the compact stink bag that is supplied with it (the folded length allows it to fit inside the Basix Cradle unhooking mat or inside an exterior pocket on a Compac Rod Holdall).
